CONSERVATORY: Advanced Adult Improv Training: Levels 201–204
The Improv Playhouse Conservatory is designed for experienced adult improvisers who have completed the Improv Playhouse 101–106 curriculum and are ready to move from foundational study into advanced training and performance. Across four progressive levels, students deepen their skills in acting, character development, comedic structure, scenic storytelling, advanced forms, ensemble work, and live performance. The Conservatory challenges students to create work that is not only funny, but grounded, theatrical, and compelling. Each six-week level culminates in a student showcase or live performance, allowing students to put their training into practice before an audience. Conservatory students who demonstrate performance readiness, reliability, professionalism, and a strong ensemble ethic may receive priority consideration for select Improv Playhouse auditions, house teams, productions, and other performance opportunities. Completion of the Conservatory does not guarantee casting, but it places committed students within Improv Playhouse’s continuing artistic and performance community.
